We (Jonathan and Christian) have been a couple since 2008.  We were married in 2014 in a beautiful ceremony on Ward's Island, one of our favourite places to visit in the summer.  We live in a 2 bedroom house in Toronto near some amazing parks and community centres, and a fantastic school community less than a 10 minute walk away. 

 

When we are at home, we spend our free time gardening in our front and backyard, catching up on movies, playing video games and spending time with our handsome and extremely friendly 11 year old Boston Terrier, "Bosco".  Jonathan loves gardening and being outdoors. For him, being in the garden is both a relaxing activity and a creative outlet.  Christian enjoys building models and doing art projects.  Both Jonathan and Christian like to be active, and Christian enjoys playing in competitive sports leagues. He has played in community sports leagues for more than 15 years, playing a mix of volleyball and softball.  He also loves to rock climb and is an avid Crossfitter.  Jonathan has been a high school teacher for 12 years.  He works with a wide range of students in different subject areas.  Currently, he is working on his Master's degree in Counselling Psychology.  Christian works as a surgical nurse in a community hospital. We have a large extended family that gets together at least 3 times a year for big family gatherings in Ontario or Quebec.  We also enjoy taking trips to local cultural events, movie nights, and outdoor activities in the winter and summer. 

 

We would like to adopt because we think we have a lot of love to offer a child. We would prefer an "Open" adoption, because we feel that it's important for y/our child to maintain a relationship with his/her birth mother and father.
